Wigner Research Centre for Physics, Budapest

Wigner RCP (formerly KFKI RMKI) contributed to the construction of CMS, and participated in the design and manufacture of the forward calorimeter and recently the new Pixel detector. The team actively takes part in the operation, calibration and reconstruction of the Tracker. Group members played a leading role in the first analyses and in those dealing with momentum and angular spectra of hadrons created in inelastic collisions, as well as in topics of particle identification, angular and quantum correlations in the field of QCD and heavy-ion physics. The group participates in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid effort in order to help analyse CMS data.
