University of Montenegro (UM)

The group of University of Montenegro (UM) has been a member of CMS since 23 June 2017. It consists of two professors and five students. The UM group has already been involved in several service tasks. They are working within AlCa/DB group taking responsibility for the maintenance and deployment of the AlCa/DB web infrastructure and applications, and also in the development project of a test suit for the ‘conddb’ tool, a facility part of the CMSSW release at the head of the navigation and management of the alignment and calibration data for CMS. They are also involved within the Muon POG in muon commissioning for the new data.

The group is participating in the HGCAL project, where they are contributing to the preparation of CMS software for simulation and reconstruction in the HGCAL. The group is also working on calibration of reconstructed electromagnetic and hadronic showers (initiated by photons and pions) in the HGCAL. They are working on characterisation of temperature sensors for the HGCAL and will be involved in development of the system for temperature and relative humidity monitoring and control within the frame of DCS for the HGCAL.

Their main physics interest at CMS would be measurement of Drell Yan (+ jet) production at small and medium transverse momenta of the pair at 13 TeV.
