The Novosibirsk State University (NSU) group from Russia has been a member of CMS since 2015. At the moment the NSU-CMS group consists of two professors and four postdocs. The group is involved in the Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL). They are actively participating in laser calibration of ECAL. They are also involved in daily monitoring of data of this system, the study of performance and evolution of crystal transparency. For the high-luminosity phase of the LHC, the group is involved in R&D for MIP timing system, which includes the development of detector and the study of radiation hardness.
